The Credit Review Offices provides an independent, impartial credit appeals process for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs), including sole traders and farmers.
- Has your business had credit facilities refused, reduced or withdrawn?
- Have you had difficulty getting credit or loan facilities of up to €3 million?
- Has your business had an unfavourable change to existing credit terms and conditions?
If so, we’re here to help. The Credit Review Office provides an independent review process for SMEs, sole traders and farm enterprises that have had requests for credit refused or had existing credit facilities reduced or withdrawn.
Eligibility Information
SMEs, sole traders and farm enterprises are eligible to apply to the Credit Review Office for a review of decisions by participating banks to refuse or reduce credit facilities (including applications for restructured credit facilities) up to €3,000,000.
The Review Process
All borrowers have the right to appeal an unsuccessful credit application through each bank’s internal loan appeals process and this is the first step you should take. If you have not already done so, we will arrange for your loan application to be put through your bank’s own formal internal appeals process.
Apply
Once you have reviewed the information on this website and checked that you are eligible, you can begin the review process by downloading the application form.
